Mission & Vision
Mission Statement
Establishing overall direction and specific targets are paramount to creating a school environment that guarantees a high quality educational program for all of our children. Assisting students in reaching high academic standards is the primary goal of Chaparral Hills Elementary School. Grade level requirements have been developed using state standards which specify the goals, objectives and skills each teacher must teach at each grade level. Our mission statement was developed in August 2005.
“Chaparral Hills Elementary School is a positive partnership dedicated to providing an innovative environment that will inspire and empower students to become life-long learners.”
School Mascot
Our school mascot is the Cheetah. Below is some information about the cheetah:
Collectively, cheetahs form a coalition. Cheetahs are the fastest animals on land and can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour for short distances. Because of their long legs, slender bodies, and beautiful spots, cheetahs are often considered to be the most elegant of all big cats. Three characteristics make cheetahs different from other big cats. These characteristics also symbolize the qualities of our school staff and students:
School Colors
Coinciding with our mascot, our school colors are black and gold.
